Together Adam and Mica Harju form the heart of Dirt Candy Designs.  With their passion for the outdoors and background in environmental education they both strive for excellence in sound, sustainable practices that result in quality trail that will be around for many years to come.

Adam brings a life long passion of mountain biking to the company.  Not only a biker, but also an advocate of the biking culture, he has been an active member of the Superior Cycling Association, the local IMBA chapter in Grand Marais, MN.  He has acted as Race Director of the Lutsen 99'er, a cross county endurance moutain bike race that rides through the heart of the beautiful and challenging north woods of Cook County, from the race inception in 2010.   He can't think of a better way to spend a day than to be digging in the dirt creating trail for others to use...well, only to be topped if you throw in a bike ride as well!

Having experienced her first taste of trail work as a crew member for the Minnesota Conservation Corps, Mica knew she was hooked!  Combine that affinity with years as a Naturalist teaching environmental education and a passion for all things outdoors.... you get a very well rounded crew member of Dirt Candy with an eye for detail!  When not swinging a rogue hoe, you'll often find Mica hitting the trails on bike!
