Dirt Candy Designs provides services to meet the needs of our clients in the areas of trail design, maintenance and construction. We have worked for a variety of clients ranging from private landowners to non-profit organizations to corporate businesses. Below is a sampling of work done for various clients such as the Superior Cycling Association, COGGS, CAMBA, Lutsen 99'er and Norpine Trail Association.
Pincushion Mt. is in Grand Marais, MN. Through the local IMBA Chapter, the Superior Cycling Association, we have put down several miles of diverse trails, that truly embrace the unique geology of the area.
Part of the Lutsen 99er race course, we did, and are continuing to do, some re-routes of some old unsustainable double track trail.
The heart of the Duluth Traverse! When completed the Duluth Traverse will be a 100+ mile urban singletrack in Duluth, MN. Working with the crew at COGGS, the local IMBA chapter is so much fun because these folks are passionate about trails and riding hard!
We've had the opportunity to work with CAMBA in a couple locations. They boast hundreds of miles of trail in the Hayward/Cable area in NW Wisconsin. The hidden gem, in our humble opinion, is Mt. Ashwabay, on the tip of the Bayfield Peninsula. With downright awesome soil, and views over Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands....it's really hard to beat. And the trails are super giggly.
Norpine Ski Trails
Rehabbing some drainages after a few years of 100 year rainfalls. It sure is not sexy work, but pretty important nonetheless!
